Spouse of First President of Russia Naina Yeltsina to award personal scholarships to KRSU students

Bishkek, Sept. 13, 2018. /Kabar/. Spouse of the First President of Russia Naina Yeltsina will award personal scholarships to students of Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) named after Boris Yeltsin, the press service of the university reported.

The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) opened its doors in Bishkek a quarter of a century ago. Since that time the university not only has become a leading educational institution in Central Asia, but also has turned into a major center of preserving and developing the Russian language, science, and culture. By the edict of the Kyrgyz President of 2004, the university was named after Boris Yeltsin.

“The final events dedicated to the 25th anniversary the KRSU will take place on September 18, 2018. An exhibition entitled “Innovative Achievements of KRSU” will be open at the hall of the university’s main building in the morning. Later, Spouse of the First President of Russia Naina Yeltsina will award personal scholarships of Boris Yeltsin Foundation to 50 best students of KRSU”, the report said.

The same day a ceremonial meeting on the occasion of the university’s anniversary will be held. The event will be attended by Spouse of the First President of the Russian Federation Naina Yeltsina, Head of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Dosaly Esenaliev, Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Gulmira Kudaiberdieva, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation M. Borovskaya, heads of diplomatic missions, accredited in Kyrgyzstan, representatives of state bodies, higher educational institutions, and public organizations of Kyrgyzstan, Russia and CIS.
