DALLAS, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, February 15, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- From the Visiting Nurse Association to the International Dyslexia Association, the philanthropic businessman has also made pledges to the Alzheimer's Association and a number of other organizations in the last twelve months.

In his most recent display of generosity, Glenn Almack has donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, a charity close to his heart.

"The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is a highly-rated philanthropic organization, one which is top rated and focuses on funding grants to cancer researchers," he says.

Explaining his personal interest in the charity, Almack adds, "My donation is in honor of my daughters and my former wife, as I have experienced the personal impact of this disease on family members."

The family man goes on to say, "I have a historic interest in cancer research, based on researching and investing in biotech companies that focus on oncology solutions to end breast cancer as well as other forms of cancer."

Founded in 1993, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation has raised over 500 million dollars in its quarter of a century in operation.

Funds raised go directly to fueling advances in diagnosis, treatment and future prevention of breast cancer.

"They are targeting their funding to end this disease," says Glenn Almack. "The foundation funds the best and brightest researchers in the world."

He continues, explaining, "Their 275 grantees come from all disciplines of science and are given the creativity and intellectual freedom to pursue the most promising research."

In 2017-2018 alone, thanks to patrons such as Almack, the foundation is set to award a total of over 55 million dollars in cancer research grants.

The foundation's president, Myra Biblowit, explains the charity's aim, saying, "Our goal is to accelerate the breakthroughs bringing us closer to a cure to speed up the progress that will improve survivorship and quality of life for breast cancer patients today."

Almack echoes this, saying, "If society funds these organizations and charities, cancer treatment and cure solutions will be accelerated and realized."

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is clear about the future of breast cancer research, stating, "The end of cancer begins with you."

The charity goes on to add, "Until the number of deaths from breast cancer is zero, we will not stop. Join us, and help fuel the research of tomorrow needed to save lives today. Everyone can be part of the solution. We are all part of the cure."
