I said yes, and I am here today taking classes. ,” said K Manjari, an SHG woman, who enrolled for Adult education programme in the district.

“Many illiterates used to feel shy to attend classes two decades ago. Now, many rural and tribal people understood that education would make them confident and provide them a secured life. Many persons from the district migrate to other areas to earn more income for their families. They are good at oral communication but are unable to read and write,” said District Collector B Lakshmikantham.
