ACCOMPLISHMENTS. IT STARTS AT 3:00 AT THE STUDENT UNION’S PEGASUS BALLROOM. UCF WILL STREAM IT LIVE ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE. THERE IS ALSO A NEW BILL IN FLORIDA THAT COULD POSSIBLY MAKE BIBLE COURSES A REQUIREMENT IN FLORIDA SCHOOLS. THE HOUSE BILL WOULD MAKE OFFERING BIBLE STUDY MANDATORY. RIGHT NOW, SCHOOLS HAVE TH OPTION OF OFFERING A CLASS ON THE BIBLE, BUT THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DO SO. THE BILL SAYS STUDENTS WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED TO USE A SPECIFIC TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE SUMMER IN FAVOR. A new bill could make Bible courses a requirement in Florida schools.The House bill would make offering Bible study mandatory. Schools currently have the option of offering the course, but aren't required.The bill says students would not be required to use a specific translation of the Bible and while some are in favor others say it should be kept out of the classroom. The bill was introduced by a Jacksonville Democrat who is a Christian Evangelist.A similar bill was introduced last year but didn't pass.If this bill passes it will go into effect July 2020.
