ST. LOUIS – Teachers at KIPP Charter High School are walking the picket lines Monday morning.
A strike began around 7 a.m. just outside the high school on North Jefferson Avenue.
The American Federation of Teachers St. Louis says that teachers are fighting for a fair contract. A statement from a union spokesperson says the teachers are willing to agree to all of KIPP’s contract proposals, including salaries, in exchange for job security and a fair grievance procedure.
