NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 24, 2024, the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools received a letter of resignation from Nevada County Board of Education Member Julie Baker with a deferred effective date of May 8, 2024.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that no later June 12, 2024, the Governing Board of the Nevada County Board of Education will consider whether to make a provisional appointment to fill the vacancy created by Julie Baker.
Any person is eligible to be provisionally appointed to the Governing Board if he/she is: 18 years of age or older; a citizen of California; a resident and registered voter of Nevada County, California; and not otherwise legally disqualified from holding civil office.
In order to be considered for provisional appointment, interested persons are instructed to submit a Board Candidate Application/Questionnaire, to the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools office (NCSOS), 380 Crown Point Circle, Grass Valley, California 95945, no later than the 5:00 PM, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
