M&T Bank awards 12 local organizations with $46K to combat food insecurity in the Southern Tier

(WBNG) -- M&T Bank announced they’re providing 12 local organizations with $46,500 in grant funding.
M&T Bank said the grant funding addresses food insecurity across the Southern Tier. In late 2024, M&T continued its commitment to fighting hunger and supporting local communities by directing charitable investments to food pantries and food-access programs in Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Tioga and Tompkins counties.
The organizations that received grant funding to support hunger relief efforts include:
- Binghamton University Food Pantry
- Broome County Council of Churches
- Cortland County Agency on Aging
- Catholic Charities of Broome County
- Cortland County Agency on Aging
- Chenango County Catholic Charities
- Food Bank of the Southern Tier
- Loaves & Fishes
- Meals on Wheels – Chemung
- Meals on Wheels – Western Broome
- Nutrition or the Elderly – Tompkins County
- TACO Food Pantry
- Tioga County Rural Ministry
M&T Bank awards more than $500,000 in grant funding to dozens of nonprofit organizations in the Southern Tier every year.
