Binghamton Vet Center to host 2025 NYS Southern Tier Vietnam Veteran Recognition event
ENDICOTT, N.Y. (WBNG) -- The Binghamton Vet Center is hosting the 2025 NYS Southern Tier Vietnam Veteran Recognition Event, in honor of Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day.
This year marks the conclusion of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, which ended on April 30th, 1975. It also signifies the final year for the United States Vietnam War Commemoration, authorized by Congress and initiated by President Obama in 2012, to express gratitude and honor our Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifices.
During the event, veterans will be recognized by their rank, name, unit, and dates of service, receiving a commemorative lapel pin and proclamation. After the ceremony, a brief social gathering with refreshments will be held.
The Binghamton Vet Center requests that Vietnam Veterans RSVP to Jason Davis at (607)722-2393 or Jason.davis3@va.gov, including their name, rank, unit and years of service, to be officially acknowledged and receive a lapel pin and Presidential proclamation.
The event will occur at American Legion Post 82, 1305 Riverview Dr. in Endicott.
