Gearoid O’Connor, University of Limerick, Moyne-Templetuohy & Tipperary receives the 2023 Electric Ireland GAA Higher Education Rising Stars Hurling Team of the Year. He has made the 2025 team also.
Gearóid O’Connor was a key player for UL in the Fitzgibbon Cup and as a result of his performance named in the Electric Ireland GAA Higher Education Rising Stars Hurling team of the year.
Tipp senior hurler Gearóid O’Connor has been a member of Liam Cahill's panel for a number of seasons and has played in the recent league campaign as well.

UL have the bulk of stars and as well as O'Connor others include Darach Fahy, Mark Fitzgerald, Colin Coughlan, Adam English, Patrick Crotty and Jack Leahy.
