UW System names all out-of-state finalists to lead UW-Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, Wis. (WSAW) - Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman has announced four finalists for the position of chancellor at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.
The school enrolls nearly 13,000 undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and high school learners.
A Special Regent Committee selected the finalists from a list of candidates identified by a 14-member Search and Screen Committee.
The finalists are:
Robert Brinkmann
Dean, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Northern Illinois University - DeKalb, IL
Amy Hietapelto
Dean, Labovitz School of Business and Economics
University of Minnesota-Duluth - Duluth, MN
Manohar Singh
Interim President
Western Connecticut State University - Danbury, CT
Joe Whitehead
Senior Advisor to the President for Regional Science Initiatives
Bowling Green State University - Bowling Green, OH
Going forward, candidates will participate in separate campus forums, offering opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members to interact directly with them. The finalists will also take part in a public conversation.
After reviewing campus feedback, Rothman and the Special Regent Committee will interview the finalists and recommend a single candidate to the Board of Regents for approval.
The person selected through this process will be UW-Oshkosh’s twelfth leader.
