JEE Main Exam Analysis 2025: Check April 2 shift 2 question paper review here

Many candidates said that the JEE Main 2025 shift 2 question paper was of moderate level. The Physics and Chemistry questions are not tricky compared to Mathematics section.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2025 session 2 on April 2nd. The paper 1 for BTech/ BE (paper 1) was held in two sessions – 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. The Agency has announced that the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exams will be held on April 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9.

Candidates who had appeared for the JEE Main 2025 shift 2 exam on April 2 said that the question paper was of a moderate level. A few experts also said that the Mathematics section was tricky compared to Physics and Chemistry. Let’s take a look at the JEE Main April 2 question paper analysis 2025 here.

As per the subject experts, the JEE Main session 2 shift 2 exam held on April 2 was moderate. The questions from the Chemistry and Physics sections were easy compared to Mathematics.

Anil Kapasi, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Arihant Academy, said, “The paper was moderately challenging. Chemistry was perceived as the most difficult, Mathematics was moderate, and Physics was considered the easiest among the three sections.”

He added, “The Physics section was relatively easier compared to the other subjects. Key topics included Mechanics, Electrostatics, and Current Electricity. Questions from Kinematics, Gravitation, Rotational Motion, Simple Harmonic Motion, Laws of Motion, Magnetism, Ray Optics, Modern Physics, Work, Power & Energy, and Thermodynamics were also present. Numerical-based questions were straightforward, and some fact-based questions from Class 12 NCERT chapters were included. Chemistry was considered the most challenging section. Organic Chemistry had more weightage compared to Inorganic Chemistry, with questions from General Organic Chemistry, Amines, Aldehydes and Ketones, Chemical Bonding, Electrochemistry, Mole Concept, Coordination Compounds, Liquid Solutions, Atomic Structure, Chemical Kinetics, Alcohols, Ethers and Phenols, Biomolecules, and Aryl and Alkyl Halides. Numerical-based questions were primarily from Physical Chemistry.”

“The Mathematics section was moderate in difficulty but lengthy. Topics such as Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, and Probability had high weightage. Many students found the questions to be calculation-intensive. Overall, the exam was balanced, with a mix of straightforward and challenging questions across subjects,” Anil Kapasi concluded.
