The National Museum of Bermuda [NMB] is seeking community input through a survey to improve how it shares Bermuda’s history and heritage.

A spokesperson said, “The National Museum of Bermuda [NMB] is inviting community members, visitors, and supporters to share their thoughts on how the museum can better serve its audiences. As part of a survey of museum-goers sponsored by the American Alliance of Museums, NMB is gathering insights to enhance its role in sharing Bermuda’s history and heritage in meaningful ways.

“NMB recognises that visitors come with diverse needs, interests, and values. By participating in this survey, individuals will help the Museum understand how it can provide more engaging and relevant experiences. The feedback will also assist in addressing broader societal challenges and expanding learning opportunities for all.”

“This survey is an important tool in helping us better understand our community and visitors,” said NMB Executive Director Elena Strong. “Your input will help shape the way we share Bermuda’s history and heritage, ensuring that we continue to serve and inspire our audiences effectively.”

The spokesperson said, “The survey takes only nine minutes to complete and offers participants the opportunity to contribute to the future direction of NMB. Additionally, the results will be contextualised alongside data from museums across the United States, allowing NMB to learn from best practices and refine its approach.

“Participation is entirely voluntary, and all responses will remain confidential. The survey does not require any personal information and will not be used for future solicitations.

“NMB encourages everyone to take a few moments to complete the survey and share their valuable insights. To participate, visit here.

“NMB is open every day 10am–5pm [last admission 4pm]. Visit www.nmb.bm/visit for more information. NMB is a non-government, not-for-profit Bermuda Registered Charity No. 136.”
