PSEB Punjab Board 5th Class Result 2025: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab, announced the Class 5 exam results for 2025 on March 30. According to SCERT officials, the results were declared at the school level, marking a shift from previous years when the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) released them online.

Notably, this year, the SCERT published the exam date sheet and evaluated the answer scripts. The Indian Express had previously reported that the annual exams would be conducted by the Punjab SCERT, as was the practice before the state introduced board exams for class 5 in 2019-20.

Punjab Class 5 Results 2025: 99.54% students pass out of 3 lakh

According to official data, in the Punjab Board Class 5, results 2025, a total of 3,00,575 students appeared, including 1,95,582 from government schools and 1,04,993 from non-government schools. Of these, 2,99,204 students were promoted with 1,94,740 from the government and 1,04,464 from non-government schools.

The overall pass percentage was recorded at 99.54%, with government schools recording a slightly higher rate of 99.56% compared to 99.50% in non-government schools. Here’s an overview–

In the previous academic session, 2023–24, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared the Class 5 results on April 1, 2024, via a press conference. A total of 3,06,438 students appeared for the exams, including 1,44,653 girls and 1,61,767 boys. The board recorded an overall pass percentage of 99.8%.

Punjab Class 5 Results 2025: Girls vs Boys, who performed better?

In the Punjab Board Class 5 results 2025, girls outperformed boys with a minor margin in terms of overall promotion rates.

Out of 1,42,481 girls who appeared for the exam, 1,41,844 were promoted, recording a pass percentage of 99.55%. Among these, government schools had 94,209 girl candidates, of which 93,790 were promoted, recording a 99.55% success rate. Similarly, non-government schools reported a 99.54% pass rate for girls, with 48,272 appearing and 48,054 passed.

On the other hand, boys recorded a slightly lower overall promotion rate of 99.48%. A total of 1,58,018 boys appeared in the Class 5 exams, with 1,57,206 being promoted. In government schools, 101,335 boys appeared and 100,849 were promoted, resulting in a promotion rate of 99.52%. Here’s an overview –

In non-government institutions, 56,683 boys appeared and 56,375 were promoted, translating to a promotion rate of 99.45%. Based on the Punjab SCERT data, while boys have shown a strong performance overall, indicates that girls had a marginal edge in pass-rates across both government and non-government schools.
