Golden Apple Award Winner: Mr. Pehrson
NICOLLET, Minn. (KEYC) - Meet the most recent winner of the Golden Apple Award, Pat Pehrson at Nicollet Public School!
Mr. Pehrson teaches agricultural science, industrial tech, work-based learning, and also leads the school’s FFA program.
FFA once had a handful of kids, but for this year, it’s up to 61. Four Nicollet FFA students will be earning the State FFA degree, which has not happened since 2011.
“It makes me - goosebumps inside to actually help them thrive and do what they want to do and move forward to the future of what they want to do in life,” Mr. Pehrson said.
Senior Isaac Slater nominated Mr. Pehrson and said “he’s the person I love the most.”
