Swindon Borough Council has been celebrating the valuable contributions interns make to the authority.

The interns, part of the DFN Project SEARCH, are young people with learning disabilities, autism, or both.

They have gained experience in various roles, including phone support, handling council tax paperwork, preparing food in hotel kitchens, and creating nameplates for civil ceremonies.

A spokesperson for the borough council said: "Every intern has made a real contribution to our teams while gaining valuable experience for the future.
