The Cayman Islands Tennis Club hosted the 2018 PwC Junior Tennis Grand Prix #3 last weekend, organized by the Tennis Federation of the Cayman Islands.

There was a strong player turnout, with six players in the 10 and Under division, 14 players in the 14 and Under division and eight players in the 18 and Under division. Several newcomers were seen in the 10 and Under division, along with returning players in the 18 and Under who were home from boarding school for the Easter break. This infused some welcome variety into the tournament, with the extra competition being beneficial to the juniors when it came to achieving growth in their skills.

Each age group had a main draw and a consolation draw. Once a player lost their first match from the tournament’s main draw they were automatically entered into the consolation draw, ensuring each player had the chance to play at least two matches.

All players demonstrated great skill and a high level of sportsmanship, observed Tournament Director Ilian Nachev.
