Morreale joins leadership team at Niagara University

Robert Morreale has been appointed chief financial and innovation officer at Niagara University.

Morreale’s extensive career in accounting, fiscal management, and financial analysis includes positions as vice president of finance and human resources at Ashton Potter (USA) Ltd., chief financial officer at Secure Products International, division controller at Quebecor World Buffalo, and accounting manager for the Sherwood Division of Harsco. He began his career as a senior accountant with Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C.

In his new capacity at Niagara, Morreale will have oversight of the university’s financial operations, including the functions of the controller’s office, accounts payable, payroll and procurement, institutional investments, and be responsible for strategic financial forecasting and modeling. In addition, he will focus on the identification and development of innovative opportunities with integrated institutional strategies to be pursued by Niagara.

The 1987 graduate of Niagara University and New York state certified public accountant also is actively involved in the community: he was a board member with the former Niagara Catholic High School, is a member of the Niagara County Community College accounting advisory board, and participates with numerous youth athletic organizations.
