2017 International Education Week

Week Schedule of Events at the American Cultural Center – November 13-17, 2017

International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. We encourage the participation of all individuals and institutions interested in international education and exchange activities.​

Monday, November 13

  • 12:30—EducationUSA Graduate Information Session: General information session on U.S. Graduate degree programs, application requirements, and financial aid. Our guest speaker will share his experience as an international graduate student in the United States. American Cultural Center Martin Luther King, Av. Mao Tse Tung, 542, Maputo.
  • ONLINE Release of the 2017 Open Doors Report: The annual Open Doors report highlights international  study abroad trends, including  statistics on Mozambican students studying in the United States. https://www.iie.org/opendoors.

Tuesday, November 14

09:00-13:00, 15:30-17:30 – EducationUSA Open House: Day-long open house for prospective undergraduate and graduate students interested in studying in the United States. Featuring:
