The Four Finalists come from different backgrounds and they are UPG Biashara Entrepreneurs. They each demonstrated exceptional vision, creativity and unwavering determination. And their qualities have made them exceptional candidates for the prestigious Diamonds Do Good® Entrepreneurship Grant. They are:

Abdlah Jumanne Nyambi, based in Tanzania, is the Founder and CEO of Preyo Company Limited, a pioneering enterprise in plastic recycling. He is dedicated to developing formal and sustainable solutions for plastic waste management. Abdalah is actively involved in creating a comprehensive plastic recycling value chain, from the collection of plastic waste to the sale of recycled products. Driven by a passion for environmental sustainability and community development, Abdalah has successfully led Preyo to secure substantial grants and partnerships. These initiatives have significantly enhanced the company's capacity to efficiently process and recycle plastics, contributing to a cleaner environment and sustainable development in Tanzania.

This social health insurance program allows poor individuals in slum communities to exchange their plastic waste for medical health coverage. His innovative efforts have earned him several awards, including the UN Habitat for Humanity Award.
